Beautiful variety with great cultural value; we initially obtained this seed through Jemima's mother, one of our partners at Semillas Plantae. Her family is from San Ramón de Alajuela, and on a Sunday trip to the Hermanos Arias sugar mill in Piedades Norte, they were dipping this variety in boiling sugarcane syrup. With an intense orange color inside and great resistance in the open field, this is a crop worthy of preservation, special for making ayote honey due to the characteristics of its dry pulp.
