The Active Aqua Bottom Draw Pump Adapter, 1 in is a bottom suction adapter that converts your submersible hydroponic pump into a pump capable of emptying the reservoir almost completely. It solves the perennial problem when changing the nutrient solution: that remaining water in the tank that forces you to lift it or buy a separate sump pump.

How to use
Screw the adapter into the threaded in-line port of your Active Aqua pump and adjust the locking height according to the level you want to drain to. Place the pump at the bottom of the reservoir and connect the outlet hose to the discharge point. Turn on the pump and turn it off as soon as it stops sucking water, so it doesn't run dry.
