The Active Aqua Bottom Draw Pump Adapter, AAPW250/AAPW400, 1/2” inlet thread is an accessory that converts your Active Aqua submersible pump into a bottom-suction pump. With it, you can remove that last bit of water from the reservoir when changing the nutrient solution, without having to buy a separate bilge pump.

How to use

Unplug the pump and remove the factory inlet accessory. Screw the bottom suction adapter into the 1/2" threaded port and rest the pump on the bottom of the reservoir. Connect the hose to the outlet, power on the pump to drain, and turn it off as soon as it starts to suck air.

How to use

• Unplug the pump before installing the adapter.
• Remove the factory inlet accessory and screw the adapter into the 1/2 inch port.
• Rest the pump on the bottom of the reservoir to drain completely.
• Connect the hose to the outlet and secure it with a clamp.
• Turn off the pump as soon as it starts to suck air, so it doesn't run dry.
• Rinse and store the adapter dry after each drain.
