Athena Cleanse is made with the ideal (and safe) agent to optimize the root zone: hypochlorous acid. This mild, safe acid is derived from salt through a patented electrochemical process. The result is a unique, plant-safe compound with potent oxidative properties that keep the root zone clean and free from unwanted organic and mineral buildup. These special properties reduce mineral scaling in irrigation systems.

How to use
System Maintenance:
Irrigation systems that receive regular maintenance with Athena Cleanse last longer and perform more optimally at all times. This is because Cleanse helps to dissolve scale, mineral buildup, and other organic matter lodged in the system.
Regular Use:
Use a diluted mixture of 2-5 mL per gallon of water for regular maintenance.
Severe Conditions:
Increase the dose to 5-10 mL per gallon of water to combat severe conditions in the reservoir and growing substrate.
Cuttings/Clones:
Athena Cleanse is indispensable for all cloning machines and fresh cuttings. Dip fresh cuttings in a Cleanse solution (10 mL per gallon) to improve cellular health and boost immunity. Seedlings and cuttings treated with Cleanse have more vigor and a higher chance of becoming robust plants. Roots of plants treated with Cleanse will be bright white and full of tiny absorbent hairs.
These special properties reduce mineral scaling in irrigation systems and growing media.
RDWC and other recirculating hydroponic systems:
Every recirculating or deep water culture (DWC) irrigation system should use Athena Cleanse to remove mineral residue and reduce scaling. Irrigation water treated with Cleanse has a lower risk of developing problems associated with overwatering and insufficient oxygen levels, such as anaerobic microbial growth and biofilm accumulation.
Using Cleanse in a recirculating or DWC system helps break down low-solubility materials, such as mineral complexes that are no longer available to plants. Mineral accumulation and nutrient lockout are a primary cause of plant deficiencies and health issues; resolve these problems with Athena Cleanse.
Substrate/System Flush Mix:
Use Athena Cleanse at a rate of 5-10 mL per gallon of water during the final flush stage to help reduce residual mineral buildup in the growing substrate.
This procedure can be applied at any time during the vegetative or flowering stages if the substrate or irrigation system develops mineral imbalance or unwanted accumulations.
Foliar Applications:
Mix 375 mL of Cleanse per gallon of water and spray evenly. Test a small area first to ensure no damage is caused.
