The C.A.P. Starter/Ignitor 400w H.P.S (200-400) is the starter or ignitor needed for high-pressure sodium magnetic ballasts. It is the part that generates the high-voltage pulse that ignites the HPS lamp: if your bulb doesn't turn on, takes a long time to start, or turns on and then off, the ignitor is usually responsible.

How to use
Disconnect the ballast from the power before opening it and discharge the capacitor. Replace the old ignitor, carefully matching the connection of each wire (lamp, common, and capacitor or ballast) according to your equipment's diagram. If you do not have experience with electrical installations, ask an electrician for assistance.

Instructions for use
- Disconnect the ballast from the power and wait for it to discharge before opening the casing.
- Locate the previous starter and photograph or note how the wires are connected before removing it.
- Connect the new starter, following the exact same wiring scheme.
- Verify that the lamp's wattage is within the starter's range: 200 to 400 W.
- Close the casing, power it on, and check that the lamp lights up; if it flickers repeatedly, cut the power and check the connections.
- If you do not have experience with electrical installations, leave the replacement to a technician. Store the spare part in a dry place.
