Clonex Rooting Gel, 100 mL

Clonex Rooting Gel is a rooting gel for cuttings that provides the hormone IBA (indole-3-butyric acid) in a high-viscosity base. Unlike powders and liquids, the gel seals the cut wound and adheres to the stem, so the hormone acts exactly where roots will form. The 100 ml bottle is the working size for propagation rooms and nurseries.

How to use

Cut the cutting just below a node and remove the leaves closest to the base. Dip 1 to 2 cm of the stem into the gel until completely covered and immediately place it in rockwool, Root Riot cubes, or moist perlite. Cover with a humidity dome and maintain between 24 and 27 °C until roots appear. Pour a separate portion to avoid contaminating the bottle.

Instructions for use

• Take a clean cutting just below a node and trim the leaves near the cut end
• Dip the cut stem into Clonex gel so that the bottom 1–2 cm are completely covered
• Insert the covered stem directly into a moist propagation medium (rockwool, Root Riot, or perlite)
• Cover with a humidity dome and maintain 75–80°F (24–27°C) and high humidity until roots emerge
• Refrigerate after opening and use within 2 years — do not contaminate the bottle with plant material
