Water hammer arrester kits are used to prevent the possible damaging effects of water hammer, defined as a sudden overpressure or pressure wave that occurs when a moving fluid is forced to stop or change direction suddenly.

- Recommended for all Dosatron installations connected to high-pressure municipal water lines
How to use
- Install it on the water inlet line, before the Dosatron, as indicated in the installation guide
- Use thread seal tape on all threaded connections to prevent leaks
- Test by turning on the water supply and checking all joints for leaks
- Inspect the arrester once a year for wear or a flooded bladder
- Replace it if the inlet pressure continues to cause audible water hammer or pipe vibration
