EcoPlus 1/10 HP Chiller

The EcoPlus 1/10 HP Chiller is a water chiller for hydroponic reservoirs and for fresh or saltwater aquariums. It keeps the nutrient solution within the ideal temperature range, which is key in warm climates like Costa Rica, where warm water loses dissolved oxygen and promotes root problems.

How to use

Connect a water pump with a flow rate between 66 GPH and 317 GPH that carries water from the reservoir to the chiller and returns it through the 1/2 inch outlet. The unit operates at 120 V / 60 Hz with a power consumption of 264 W (2.2 A). Place it in a well-ventilated area with free space around it, and use a filter bag on the pump to prevent debris from entering.

Instructions for use

• Place it on a firm, level surface, with free space around it for the unit to expel heat.
• Connect a pump that delivers between 66 and 317 GPH (250 to 1200 L/h): it should carry water from the tank to the chiller inlet and return it to the tank.
• Use 1/2 inch hose on both connections and secure it with clamps to prevent leaks.
• Adjust the target temperature on the digital display and let the unit cycle on its own, without turning it on and off repeatedly.
• Keep the condenser grilles clean: remove dust with a soft brush to prevent loss of performance.
• Before storing, drain the water from the circuit and store it upright in a dry place.
