Grodan rockwool is made from molten rock spun into cotton candy-like fibers and then compressed into cubes, blocks, or slabs. While other rockwool brands cut all sizes from one batch of wool, Grodan is unique in making different types of fiber. The purpose is to meet the plant's needs at every stage of development. Grodan has an enormous capacity to absorb nutrient solution while retaining abundant oxygen for rapid growth. Grodan comes in graduated sizes. Seedlings started in cubes are easily moved to blocks and then to slabs, if desired. Seedlings or cuttings started in Grodan cubes can also be transplanted into more traditional pots and growing media.

Grodan Blocks - Grodan Delta blocks are the most uniform blocks available on the market. They feature improved base grooves that promote better drainage. They are available in a wide assortment of sizes and configurations to suit all types of plants. These growing blocks are used for direct seeding or for "blocking on" plants raised in Macro and Multiblock. The AO 36/40 plugs fit well into the holes in the blocks. The blocks can then be placed on a slab for a larger growing volume. Hugo is the largest of the growing blocks. It provides enough growing volume to support a large plant, so it does not need to be placed on a slab.

Instructions for Use

• Soak in pH-adjusted water (5.5–6.0) for 1 hour before transplanting
• Place rooted propagation plug in the center of the block top
• Water with a mild, low EC nutrient solution for initial establishment
• Transition to a larger block or slab when roots emerge from all sides of the block
• Do not reuse rockwool—compost or recycle through certified channels after use
