This replacement capacitor is made for 1000W double-ended (DE) HPS magnetic ballasts. It is the part that stores and releases the charge that the ballast needs to start and sustain the lamp; when it is damaged, the light flickers, does not turn on, or the ballast hums and heats up more than normal.

How to use
Before installing it, disconnect the ballast from the power and let the old capacitor fully discharge: these parts hold a charge even when the equipment is turned off. Verify that the values printed on the original capacitor match 36.5 UF / 480 MFD Volt and respect the position of each cable. We recommend that the installation be done by a person with electrical experience.
