Roots Organics Formula 707, 1.5 cu ft

Formula 707 is a ready-to-use substrate, created for fast-growing plants with high nutritional demands. It was designed with increased water retention capacity, less perlite and pumice, and a light nutrient load that provides a good base but leaves plenty of room for you to amend it. Its base is peat moss, coco fiber, compost, perlite, and pumice. The bag is a 30-gallon grow bag with a little under 20 gallons of the highest quality substrate. Just poke holes in the bottom, cut off the top, and plant. Plants may benefit from additional fertilization.

How to use

• Use straight from the bag — no amendments required during the first growing cycle
• Fill pots to 2 inches below the rim and transplant or sow directly into the substrate
• Begin light fertilization at 3–4 weeks, when pre-loaded nutrients are depleted
• Water when the top 1–2 inches of the substrate are dry — the mix is aerated, drains well, and dries quickly
• Store leftover substrate sealed in its original bag, in a cool, dry place
