Roots Organics Green Fields is a marine-nutrient-based growing medium, designed for both the vegetative and flowering stages of mature plants. Green Fields was formulated with greater water retention capacity, but with good drainage to allow for frequent fertilizations for fast-growing plants with high nutritional demands. Green Fields is a ready-to-use substrate, made with less perlite and pumice, and specific ingredients such as fish meal and crab meal, worm castings, bat guano, and kelp meal. Experienced gardeners know that the perfect outdoor mix is not the same as the perfect indoor mix, and Green Fields has proven to be an excellent outdoor mix for your fast-growing plants.
INGREDIENTS
Composted forest material, peat moss, perlite, coco fiber, pumice, worm castings, crab meal, feather meal, fish meal, bat guano, soy meal, fish bone meal, kelp meal . It also contains beneficial mycorrhizal fungi: Funneliformis mosseae, Rhizophagus intraradices, Septoglomus deserticola, which improve nutrient absorption, increase root biomass, and help container plants resist stress.

How to Use

• Use as a ready-to-use substrate — no additional amendments needed for the first 2 weeks
• Begin liquid fertilization 2-3 weeks after transplanting, as organic nutrients are released
• Maintain nutrient solution pH between 6.0-7.0 for optimal organic nutrient availability
• High drainage means more frequent watering — water when the top inch is dry
• Store leftover substrate in a sealed bag, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures
