Colombian Pea Seeds

Colombian Pea seeds come from a traditional variety brought from the mountains of Colombia and reproduced in Costa Rica, at Finca Campo Alegre, in Cipreses de Cartago. It is a climbing pea with excellent flavor, which adapts very well to cool and high-altitude areas, between 1000 and 2200 meters above sea level.

How to use

Direct sow about 3 seeds per hole, with 30 to 40 cm between plants and 60 cm between rows; germination takes 6 to 10 days. Install a tying structure or trellis from the beginning, because it is a climbing plant. It needs direct sun, a minimum of 6 to 8 hours daily, and abundant watering. Production starts around 3 months: harvest full, bright green pods.
