This shrub, native to India, grows between 1 and 3 meters tall. It lives for several years, which makes it an excellent crop for food sovereignty; it is very productive and resistant to heat and cold. The flavor of the tender seed is sweet and pleasant, but it is also consumed as a dried bean in various Creole dishes.

How to use

- Harvest pods green and full for fresh consumption, or let them dry for storage
- Store unused seeds in a sealed container, in a cool, dry, dark place
