Athena Balance is a simple potassium silicate formula, specifically concentrated to buffer irrigation water and stabilize it at the ideal pH. In addition, silicon promotes plant growth, stem structure, stress reduction, water use (osmoregulation), and nutrient uptake.
Commercial growers achieve better results, especially with reverse osmosis (RO) water, when buffering first with Athena Balance. Pure RO water has an unstable chemical structure that can trap other nutrients if added without a buffer. Athena Balance adds just enough to the water to create a more homogeneous fertilizer solution and reduce the need for pH adjustment after mixing.
The formula leaves no sediment and is compatible with mechanical dosing systems (Dosatron). Athena Balance is not recommended for electronic dosing systems (Netafim).

How to use
- Add 0.5-2 ml per gallon to gradually raise the pH of the nutrient solution
- Stir well and remeasure pH after each addition before further adjusting
- Always add to a diluted nutrient solution — never directly to concentrated nutrients
- Store at room temperature in a sealed container away from direct sunlight
- Handle with care — concentrated pH-up solutions can be caustic
