Gavita 400W Enhanced HPS

The Gavita 400W Enhanced HPS bulb is a 400W high-pressure sodium lamp with an enhanced spectrum, designed to boost flowering in indoor cultivation. It's the typical choice when you want to replace a worn-out bulb and restore the original intensity of your reflector.

How to use

Install the bulb in a reflector with a 400W HPS ballast, handling the glass with a clean cloth. For the first 100 hours, operate it at 100%, without dimming, so that the output stabilizes; after this period, you can adjust the power. As a reference, plan to replace it every 12 months of continuous use.

Instructions for use

• Verify that the fixture has an E40 lamp holder and that the ballast is 400W before installation.
• Handle the bulb with clean gloves or a cloth: finger grease leaves hot spots on the glass.
• Screw it in fully with the equipment unplugged and energize only when it is firm in the lamp holder.
• Allow 10 to 15 minutes of warm-up time to reach its nominal output; if it turns off while hot, wait for it to cool before turning it on again.
• Wait for it to cool completely before touching it or removing it from the fixture.
• Clean the cold glass with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Store it in its original box, upright and in a dry place.
